Senate mourns the death of Saguisag

The flag in front of the senate building has been placed at half-mast in mourning for the passing of former Senator Renato Saguisag.

Among those who earlier sent their regrets and condolences were Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, Senator Nancy Binay, and Grace Poe and Senator Francis “Chiz’ Escudero and Robin Padilla.

Saguisag is close to the Binays because he was with his father, former Vice President Jejomar “Jojo” Binay for being a human rights lawyer especially during the martial law era.

Saguisag bereaved Rebo, Nonoy, Lara, Laurence and Kaissa who really did not leave him until the last moment of his life.

According to the senators, the death of Saguisag is a great loss for the people, who contributed greatly to the fight for human rights and the creation of laws.

It is not yet certain when the necrological service of the senate is scheduled to be given to Saguisag as a tribute to him because he became a senator.

It is expected that some former fellow senators of Saguisag who are still alive as well as some senators who are currently sitting will give a eulogy. (Nino Aclan)
