On January 11, 2025, the province of Bataan celebrates its 268th founding anniversary, marking more than two centuries of rich history, culture, and resilience.
This year’s celebration centered on the theme “Celebrating the Resilient Bataeño Family.”
Established in 1757, Bataan has stood as a symbol of enduring strength through its role in the struggle for independence and its contributions to the nation’s development. From the heroic Battle of Bataan during World War II to its modern-day advancements, the province has consistently been a vital part of the Philippines’ historical and cultural narrative.
As Bataan commemorates its founding anniversary, the province also looks forward to continuing its path of growth, embracing both its historical legacy and future potential. The said celebration is not only a time to acknowledge the sacrifices of its ancestors but also a reminder of the importance of community and resilience in overcoming challenges.
