A social community work by 218 Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program beneficiaries resulted in clean riverbanks and public market in Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, helping transform the town’s public facilities into clean spaces for the public to enjoy.
The beneficiaries of the emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers received P6,300 each for the 15 days of work, enabling the labor department to distribute P1.3M in wages.
The TUPAD workers expressed their appreciation and gratitude for their inclusion in the program, providing them the opportunity to earn while looking for other stable working opportunities.
“Lubos po ang pagpapasalamat namin sa programang binigay ninyo sa amin. Malaking tulong po ito sa aming pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan,” Marites Martinez, resident of Brgy. Tucal, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya and one of the TUPAD beneficiaries said.
Meanwhile, Political Affairs Officer Dave Lustre, who attended the payout of salaries of the TUPAD beneficiaries on June 28, 2023, on behalf of Senator Joseph Victor G. Ejercito said that the success of TUPAD’s implementation in Solano town is owed largely to the beneficiaries’ commitment to do their work responsibilities within the 15 days they were contracted under the program.
“Salamat sa inyong pagtangkilik sa TUPAD program… na naisakatuparan ng maayos. Kung wala po kayo, hindi matutuloy at magiging matagumpay ang programa na ito. Ipagpatuloy ninyo ang inyong magandang nasimulan,” Lustre said.
