On August 20, 2024, the Department of Health (DOH), represented by Universal Health Care – Health Services Cluster (UHC-HSC) Area I Undersecretary Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire, together with DOH Ilocos Center for Health Development Regional Director Paula Paz Sydiongco, launched a PuroKalusugan event in Bayambang, Pangasinan.
Also present in the event were local government officials from the Municipality of Bayambang and the Province of Pangasinan.
PuroKalusugan is the newest primary care program of the DOH, which aims to bring essential healthcare services closer to the people aligned with one of its 8-Point Action Agenda, particlulary the “Bawat Pilipino Ramdam and Kusugan”. Services catered to the people are immunization, programs in TB prevention, nutrition, maternal health, and oral health.
Further, in line with the celebration of the Family Planning Month, family planning services were also offered to the people of Bayambang and Pangasinan.
