Time and again, Senator Go has demonstrated that his top priority is providing assistance, particularly to those facing medical and financial hardships.

I have experienced Senator Go’s kindness firsthand, and his office’s swift response is something I will always be grateful for. Last December, I reached out to his office, through former DSWD Asec Jade Jamolod, to seek help for a childhood friend whose hospital bills were quickly accumulating in a Zamboanga City hospital. Sadly, my friend passed away, but her family was deeply grateful for the medical assistance Senator Go’s office provided during such a difficult time.

Senator Go is best known for his landmark initiative, the Malasakit Centers, a flagship program aimed at making healthcare more accessible to Filipinos, especially the underprivileged. These centers are now operational in various regions across the country, bring together key government agencies like the Department of Health, PhilHealth, and the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office. It has made access to medical assistance a lot easier. The Malasakit Centers have been a lifeline for countless Filipino families.

In addition to healthcare, Senator Go has consistently responded to those affected by fires, typhoons, and other calamities and emergencies. His action was always prompt, no it has earned him the reputation as one of the most well-loved public figures in the country.

Senator Bong Go is also known for being accessible and approachable. He makes sure to be available to help people who need it, whether by visiting them personally or sending his team to reach out. His efforts have earned him the trust and respect of many Filipinos, especially those who feel neglected by the government. That’s why so many call him “Mr. Malasakit,” a man whose care and compassion have touched countless lives across the country.
